Recall Roulette is FootyRecall's Daily Challenge, bringing together four different football memory games into one daily run to receive a Recall Score out of 100.
Spin the roulette and complete each of the games you are given in the best possible score. Once you have completed all four games, your scores from each individual spin are combined and you are given your final result for the day.
What is Recall Roulette?
Recall Roulette brings Missing Men, League Ladder, Higher or Lower and Who Wore It? into one Daily Challenge.
Each mini game tests a different part of your Premier League memory, whether that is rebuilding an old starting XI, remembering a final league table, comparing player statistics or working your way through the history of a shirt number.
Each player receives the same daily challenge questions, but the order of the games played are random.
Gameplay Overview
Your Recall Roulette begins with all four mini games available.
Press Spin the Roulette and one of the remaining games will be selected for you. Complete that challenge and your result is automatically converted into a score out of 25.
Once the game is finished, return to Recall Roulette. Your completed game will be marked off, your points will be added to your running total and the Roulette will only choose from the games you still have left to play. Continue spinning and playing until all four games have been completed.
Your four individual results are then combined to create your final Recall Score out of 100.
The Four Games
Missing Men
Rebuild missing players from two real Premier League starting XIs.
Use the fixture, season, positions and players already shown to work out who started the match. Finding players earlier earns more points, while additional attempts reveal further clues.
Maximum Recall Points: 25
League Ladder
Complete a section of a real final Premier League table.
Some positions are already filled, leaving you to place the missing teams in the correct order. The fewer attempts and clues you need, the more points you can earn.
Maximum Recall Points: 25
Higher or Lower
Compare the Premier League career statistics of two different players.
You will be given one player's total and must decide whether the next player recorded a higher or lower number of appearances, goals or assists. Every comparison counts towards your final result.
Maximum Recall Points: 25
Who Wore It?
Rebuild the history of a shirt number at a Premier League club.
You are shown a timeline of players who wore the same number, with several names missing. Use the club, shirt number, order and revealed players to work out who belongs in each gap.
Maximum Recall Points: 25
How the Spin Works
The Roulette determines which of your remaining Daily games you play next.
At the beginning of the challenge, all four games are available. Once a game has been completed, it is removed from the Roulette for the rest of that day.
That means you will complete each mini game once per Daily Challenge.
The spin only determines the order of your games. It does not change the challenge, difficulty or number of points available.
Once only one game remains, that will be your final challenge before your Daily Recall Score is complete.
Scoring & Results
Each of the four games contributes a maximum of 25 Recall Points, giving Recall Roulette a total possible score of 100.
The individual games use slightly different scoring systems because they test different types of football knowledge.
In Missing Men, League Ladder and Who Wore It?, your score is influenced by how early you find the correct answers. Players or teams are worth more before additional clues are revealed.
Higher or Lower is based on how many of the Daily comparisons you answer correctly.
Whatever the original scoring method, each result is converted into a score out of 25 so that all four games contribute equally towards Recall Roulette.
Missing Men — 20/25
League Ladder — 23/25
Higher or Lower — 15/25
Who Wore It? — 21/25
Your final Daily Recall Score would be:
79/100
Once an individual Daily game has been completed, that result is locked for the day.
Your Recall Score
Your Recall Score is your combined performance across all four games.
Rather than testing one particular area of football knowledge, the final score reflects how you performed across line-ups, league tables, statistics and player histories.
A strong score therefore requires a little bit of everything.
Once all four games have been completed, Recall Roulette will show your final total and Recall level. You can then share your result and return the following day for a completely new set of challenges.
Daily Reset
Recall Roulette is a once-a-day challenge.
A new Daily Challenge becomes available at 12:00pm UK time, with new challenges replacing the previous day's set.
Your progress during the current Daily Challenge is saved, so you can leave FootyRecall and return later without needing to restart the games you have already completed.
Once the new Daily Challenge begins, the Roulette resets and all four games become available again.
How to Play
Start on the Recall Roulette page and press Spin the Roulette.
The Roulette will select one of the four mini games for you to play.
Complete the selected Daily Challenge and your Recall Points will be recorded automatically.
Return to Recall Roulette to see your updated score and the games you still have remaining.
Spin again to select your next challenge.
Repeat the process until you have completed Missing Men, League Ladder, Higher or Lower and Who Wore It?
Once the fourth game is complete, your four scores are combined and your final Daily Recall Score out of 100 is locked in.
Tips
Treat each game separately. A difficult Missing Men does not mean your Daily Challenge is ruined. There are still 75 points available across the other three games.
Use clues carefully. In the games where points decrease as clues are revealed, getting an answer earlier can make a big difference to your final score.
Do not rush Higher or Lower. There is no elimination after one wrong answer. Every comparison still counts, so take a second to think about the two players before making your choice.
Use the information already on screen. Seasons, positions, neighbouring teams, shirt-number timelines and revealed players are all there to help jog your memory.
Older does not always mean harder. Sometimes a famous team or season will come back immediately, while something from only a few years ago can completely disappear from your memory.
Finish the full Roulette. Your final score only tells the full story once all four mini games have been completed.
