How FootyRecall handles information when you use our website and games.
Last updated: 18 September 2026
We may receive basic technical information when you use FootyRecall, such as device type, browser, approximate location, IP address, pages viewed and how you interact with the site.
If you contact us or report a bug, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, message and relevant technical details. Contact and bug-report submissions may be stored securely so we can respond, investigate issues and maintain an appropriate record.
We use information to operate and improve FootyRecall, provide game functionality, remember preferences, fix technical problems, prevent abuse, respond to messages and develop new features.
Where applicable, we rely on consent for optional analytics or personalised advertising technologies and on legitimate interests for activities such as operating, securing and improving the website, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
We do not sell your personal information.
FootyRecall may use cookies, local storage and similar technologies for essential site functions, including saved preferences, game progress, Daily Challenge results, security and site performance.
We may also use optional analytics technologies to understand general website usage and improve FootyRecall. Where consent is required, optional technologies will only be used in line with the choices presented to you.
FootyRecall may display advertising provided by Google AdSense and other advertising partners. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on a user's previous visits to FootyRecall or other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads to users based on visits to FootyRecall and/or other sites on the Internet. Where the required consent has not been obtained, non-personalised or limited ads may be shown instead where supported.
Other third-party vendors or ad networks may also use cookies or similar technologies when serving ads. The current vendors and purposes relevant to Google advertising are presented through the Google-certified consent message where required.
When Google advertising is enabled for users in the United Kingdom, European Economic Area and Switzerland, FootyRecall will use a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework where Google requires this for personalised advertising.
The Google consent message explains the relevant purposes and advertising partners and allows users to consent, decline where available, or manage their choices. These advertising controls are separate from FootyRecall's own local browser-preference settings.
Users can change or withdraw advertising consent after making a choice by using the Privacy & Cookie Settings control available on the site. Changing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before the change.
We use third-party providers to host and operate FootyRecall, store website data, provide analytics, deliver advertising and support other website features. These providers may process information only as necessary to provide their services and subject to their own privacy obligations.
Third-party services may have their own privacy policies explaining how they process information. Where required, we will provide appropriate disclosures and consent choices before optional third-party technologies are activated.
If you send us a message, feedback or bug report, we may keep the information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, investigate the issue, improve FootyRecall or maintain an appropriate record.
Please avoid including sensitive personal information in free-text messages unless it is genuinely necessary for us to deal with your request.
We aim to keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, why it was collected and whether we need to retain it for security, legal or operational reasons.
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect information, although no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, restrict or object to certain processing, or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
You can contact us to make a privacy request. You can also revisit the site's available consent or cookie controls to change optional choices where applicable.
FootyRecall is a general-audience football entertainment website and is not designed specifically for children. We do not knowingly seek to collect unnecessary personal information from children. If you believe personal information about a child has been provided inappropriately, please contact us so we can review it.
We may update this Privacy Policy as FootyRecall develops, when our use of service providers changes or when legal and advertising requirements change. The latest version will always be available on this page and the updated date will be shown above.
You can control personalised advertising through Google's ad settings. Google also explains how information from sites using services such as AdSense may be used for advertising, measurement and security.
